Newb here
This questions' probably been asked before, but here goes:
I had a 93 3.0l Ranger XLT a few years back. Long story, but it was launched 12 feet in the air, and landed on it's roof. The engine coupled with a 5 speed felt really strong and was quite fast.
Now, a couple of mustangs and a few years later, I'm the proud owner of a 2006 Sport model ext. cab 3.0l. This time with an Auto.
The problem (personal) is that the engine/tranny feel like mush. There's no acceleration, and speeding up to pass a car on the freeway needs an entire county to accomplish.
I've read that Ford transmissions only operate at 40% line pressure. If there's anyone out there who has changed his/her valve body, please chime in on the effects and if the mod was worth it to a non-modded truck.
Thanks
