Odd thing this morning

This morning when I went to start up the Ranger, it wouldn't start. I had power but all I was getting was "click, click, click" when I tried turning it over. I pumped the gas pedal some and then the engine started and I haven't had a problem since. Any idea what this was? Vapor Lock?

To expand on what Billy said:

I'd clean your battery terminals. Take the OFF and clean them.

Also check the big cable connection to your starter.

I don't think you even get a click if the neutral switch is engaged. You can check that. Put it in reverse and try to start it. If it clicks, then it's possible the neutral switch could be having problems also.

Happened to me 3x, check all connections.

I made a bad connection when putting on my new terminals, one slipped out and was "clicking" when i tried to start it. I had full power and everything...I figured it out after the 3rd time, it was such a simple fix but so many hours of headache!!!

Ok...I know the negative terminal has some corrosion developing on it...time to clean it.

It did this same thing again today, only minutes after I turned the truck off to go into the post office. Time to clean those battery terminals and check connections.
