P1000 I/M readiness not complete code?

P1000 I/M readiness not complete code?

every time i try to do a KOER or a KOEO test it wont let me it pulls this code

More drive time is needed to complete all OBDII monitors and clear the P1000. This prevents owners from simply resetting the PCM to clear all trouble codes before a state inspection.

yea doing a superchips tune creates the same code. its smart.

In MA I still pass inspections with that code. I find that it takes quite a lot of driving to get rid of it.

Most states won't pass a vehicle with a P1000.

why would i get this code? i dont wanna have to do this whole driving cycle thing every time i wanna test my truck.

That code will be set every time the PCM memory is reset.

Well im a Georgia inspector and have a tune in my truck too in Ga and mostly any state that does OBD2 test p1000 is aautomatic fail but the biggest thing about i/m most go through relatively quickly the 2 that most cars take forever on is cat and evap get a scanner that shows the individual monitors. EVAP and CAT efficiency are the two that take forever EVAP is very picky you need like 3/4 of a tank and a couple cold starts to get that one but cat will never go through if your always nailing it 55mph is the magic number for that one! now most states will pass with 7of 8 so make sure you have those and you should be fine.
