to people with homemade intakes

imade my own..and i want a heat sheild..but not sure what to make it out of..can anyone tell me what i can make one out of.. or gimma sum idea's.. thanks

Goto The Home Depot, and pick up one of those small plastic mailboxes and chop the front end of it off. I know a couple of people that have done that.

there is this stuff you can buy from summit and stylinconepts made to wrap around headers to stop them from heating up the engine bay, same concept you could buy that and wrap it around your intake,

really the air is moving so fast I don't think its in the intake pipe long enough to get hot.

i can see a noticable difference when ihave the aircone on and it heats up a little bit..gets real sluggish..i thinking cuz of the heat..so i wanna try it out.. but thanks alot

the flower pot thing wraped in some kinda insulation...like the aluminum lookin things u put in your windshield to block the sun...

maybe something like that on the outside of it?

i will get a better detailed pic tomarrow, cause you cant really see it in this one

ya thats like sumthin i want andy... but more plush to the motor. i would taken a pic of mine..but i need to reinstall it..and i cant find my connector..so ya..ill go buy a new one..and make it up real quick
