Well, the time is getting ever so close to me finally getting my exhaust done. I am stuck on what to do with it though. Not sure if I should get it exiting out the back, at a 45* angle, or like stock. So, how about everyone posts their dual exhaust systems so I can get some idea's? Thanks!

 

Mine is an Original 40 Series, Flowmaster. Single In/Dual Out.

Mine exits behind the cab, in front of the rear right tire.

It doesn't have tips. Just angle cut the pipes.

 

Would it be possible to get my dual system to exit in front of BOTH the rear wheels? Or would the gas tank be in the way?

 

i was going to do it.

driveshaft, transmission, gas tank, etc make it pretty much impossible.

but that's how my f150 is going to be set up.

it looks so mean, to have smoke/steam coming out of both sides, on a cold day...

I've got a similar setup to christians only single exit exhaust with a split tip.



I was told they could do a dual and run it on the drivers side as well, but it would be costly, and wiht the plastic gas tank, they would not put their name on it... aka, they'd take no blame for anything that went wrong

 

Flow 40 Dumped...

 

Don't have a pic yet, but I have a 2.5" single in/out Magnaflow dumped with a turndown and a 2.5" straight pipe welded between the cat and the muffler (right after the cat, before the flange, the piping is 2.5"). Cost me less than $130 for a full 2.5" cat-back, and all I had to do was remove my own stock exhaust, so I can't complain

POST DRIFT: Hey Larson, do you have an aluminum driveshaft? Is that an option on certain trucks?

 

I believe the later model Rangers have Aluminum driveshafts which are a bit larger than the old ones due to tensile strength.

 

thats why i want to run an unseen exhaust and have it end right before the rear axle.

I think it might be a problem on the driver side, because the fuel tank is there.

 

have it follow the original exhaust. take one of the cats off, lay the exhaust and finish with a flowmaster muffler and a 90 degree exhaust tip. ive seen it done on cardomain.com

Larson, you only have one 40...haha just messin'. And you might not have it for much longer.

Ill have dual borla's coming straight out the back towards the end of the week so keep an eye out for when i post pics soon.

 

why would you take a cat off? wouldn't that just pollute more? GAHHHH..

On my first Splash, I had a Dynomax Turbo muffler that turned and exited through a '98 Camaro Z28 tip, in-front of the rear wheels.

On the Level II, I had the same setup, only with duals coming out through a F150 Lightning tip, in-front of the rear wheels.

On this Splash, I'll have nearly the same setup, only using a Borla muffler and a larger tip from a Corvette to make the sound a little more hollow than before on Splash #1.

 

That's more or less what mine looks like as well...
