problems towing and check engine ?
Well My truck has the poor little 3.0 has a check engine light that comes the dealer ship says the engine code is a misfire on cylinder 4 they also think its possibly a fuel injector that part is going to get taken care of wedsday . My current problem with towing saturday I was heading on about a 100 mile trip to the sand dunes in northern louisiana towing my 4 wheeler on a 5x10 trailer. The truck struggled it seemed ito stay in one gear and with overdrive off would stay at almost 4 grand rpm which is crazy only got about 11.5 mpg. Anyone have any idea if that is normal or could that misfire really hurt it that bad? My bike weights only 600 lbs at the most and the trailer is light enough to move around in the yard without help. Only going to the ford dealer because of extended warranty.
Any people with any possible answers would be very helpful.. thanks

I pulled 2000lbs with mine from Southern GA to Ontario Canada and averaged 18-19mpg so getting 11mpg would be unusual for me. But if your misfiring I could see it happening. I had the coil pack go out on mine causing 3rd cylinder misfire and it effected my power and economy
