Randomly better gas mileage

Not that I'm complaining or anything, but my truck has been getting way better gas mileage recently. I havent changed my driving styles at all, the only thing I can think of is the slightly cooler weather, but even then I've never gotten this good of mileage.

I normally go 220 miles on a tank...now im seeing 260 before i see the gas light go on.

Who knows, but I'll take it!

I get 300 miles out of a 20 gallon tank, so I get just about 15 mpg

I got ya'll beat. lol I can easily go 300 miles on a tank, and still have about 2 gallons left when I fill up. Of course it helps to have a 2.5l engine to get that good. lol

I have been getting between 16.5 and 17 in daily city driving. The one time I took it on a long highway trip (only had it for a couple of months), I got around 22.

it may be different formualtions in the gas... in delaware my mpg was sucking but since im in mississippi its about 22-25... i think it has something to do with ethanol blends that some states (like delaware) use in their gas

is it just me or does Arco's gas go quickly? It seems every time I fill up there, my gas gets used much faster than with a shell or mobile station. I have pretty much the same driving pattern from week to week.

Have you been driving on the hwy more than usual? I know when i was driving around town i would get around 240miles on a 16 gallan tank but when i started to drive to school which is 15 miles away i started to get 280 miles to a tank.

I run 87 Octane from Chevron :-D works good for me... guess the lower mileage is from these bigger tires and the ride height, and the V6... but I love the HP :)

I have a 3.0L V6 with 265/75R16 tires and flowmaster exhaust and I only get around 14 in the city and 17 on the highway, i guess its the price to pay for a good looking stance and sound...

i hope your joking about the tornado "fuel saver"

if not you should know popular mechanics and others have proved that they in fact do not work and actually decrease mileage and hp
