I have a 2000 Ford Ranger, 3.0 v6. I can really tell that it does not have the power that it once had. Is there anything that I can do to get some of that old power back?
It's a great truck. I have people that want to buy it, but I'm not ready to part with it.

First few things that come to mind are new fuel filter, clean throttle body, check/change spark plugs,

 

Thanks! What do you think about trying fuel line cleaner vs. new fuel filter? Plugs, wiring already replaced.

 

Definitely do the fuel filter. Then some fuel system cleaner wont hurt

Cleaning the throttle body made a noticeable difference for me.

 

Clean the MAF sensor, use the special cleaner.

 

Send out the injectors for service, it made a big difference on mine.

 

How many miles are on this 2000? Is there any chance of a totally clogged air filter element?
