RPM rev.

I have a problem, my 03 ranger edge is actin funny. When I put the clutch in to shift the rpm's will jump up 300-500, and SLOWLY go down, then at a stop sign or a red light with the clutch in it will rev at 2500 rpm's... so my question is what is what is wrong with my baby!!

Had this exact problem, I just cleaned the IAC. Basically, just get the correct cleaner and clean all your sensors in your intake/throttle body.

Thanks, I actually got them from a local place, but you can find them online at various places. They are made by IPCW. I like them because they arent the APC or DEPOT ones that everyone else has, you don't see these as often. Here is IPCW's site...

The IAC valve is on the throttle body. Get some STP Air Intake Cleaner or something similar(make sure it's sensor safe), take off the intake tube and spray down the throttle body.
