Icon5 Running on 3 Cylinders

Hi, I am posting to figure out what is going on with my friends Ranger...

it has been running on 5 cylinders for a while so he parked it and has been using other vehicles at his house for transportation. anyways I went out and looked at the truck today and told him he had a bad wire or plug ( verified and proven by pulling the wire for #5 and no change, pulled another wire and the truck ran rougher.
so we change out the plugs and wires and now the entire passenger bank is doing nothing, and before you try saying that the coil pack is back we have tried 3 different ones, the coil pack is fine. what I want to know is if the "flexfuel" deal would mess with this in anyway?

I want to check he fuel injectors, but am unsure how to check the injectors and their wiring without pulling the rails. any advice?

Are the plug wires double shecked? As in position?

I had a flex fuel 3.0 in my truck and never had a problem with ignition, just head gaskets

same, head gasket is going out, burnt coolant smell constantly, but the wires were an easy deal to change.

the plug wires are all placed back in the same place, and the new wires are good, double checked the resistance on them, all same.

all 3 injectors on the driver bank are dead. got new ones coming thursday. will get the rail flushed out in the mean time to ensure no contaminants foul the new plugs.

When did you start having head gasket problems with your 3.0 FF?
