From what I understand 2.5" is the size to go with. More and you lose low end, less and you don't pick up the gains. This is only second hand knowledge though.

Didn't check the price, but what about a cat back? Are you planning on using the factory pipes?

Stock pipe is 2.25 so if you just want to weld it in you should go with that.

I just wonder if the smaller pipes will defeat the benefit of the larger diameter muffler. Not the same but I got a Dynomax cat back 2 1/2" for $150 (full price at Summit, you might do better). I wonder if by the time you pay a welder, if you don't do it yourself, you might have just got a cat back with bigger pipes and sold yours on here or Craigslist to defray the cost, if cost is even an issue for you.

Then still, will the littler pipes affect performance? If you want sound, and cost does not matter, then just do it. If you want to consider other things just check a little more. Dynomax may sell the other exhaust parts if you find the other parts are too high.

Just somethings to think about.

Apparently 2007 cost more than for the 1995.

Here is a starter link to your year:

http://www.summitracing.com/search/Y.../?Ns=Price|Asc

You can narrow it down by wheel base, cab style and such. I was surprised to see the prices.

Mine is here:
Exhaust - 1995 - 3.0L/182 - RANGER - FORD - SummitRacing.com

Not that that does you any good.
You could check some other sites. Sorry this one was not of more help pricewise.

I just tried checking Dynomax's site. Google Dynomax 39315

Or see here:
dynomax 39315 - Google Product Search

~$200 before shipping. Search the web because it will likely sound different.

It shouldn't be more than 100 for a shop to weld it on

I had a Flowmaster single 2.5" in and duel 2.5" out. In addition to being to loud for me I lost a ton of low end. Went to a Magnaflow 2.25" in and duel 2.25" out. Low end is still weak compared to to stock, but I can live with it. Top end is where it really shines though, 60-80 mph passing time are much better than stock. Maybe a single 2.25" in/out will work better down low. I do like the sound better than the Flow also. I say get it.

$85 shipped (to me and I'm just 1 state over) for that Magnaflow, $95 shipped for this Borla

Less than $15 actually

EDIT: and if you are really set on that Magnaflow, get it with free shipping here. eBay is your friend.
