Spark Plug Help

I wanted to rule out that my plugs were not the cause of a rough idle, but there may be a problem. I pulled the wire off of a plug, no change in engine performance. I tried it on other cylinders, same thing. So, every one I pulled seemed to have no affect on the engine. I even pulled multiple at the same time, No change.

Every one wire seemed to be working properly. I guess I like to shock myself. Anyway, I feel like this may be a big problem. Any thoughts? compression problems?

I know at one time I did have a cracked plug and that thing misfired like crazy.

Any advice would be much appreciated. Thank You.

Knowing what engine you have would help , if it a four cyl , with dual plugs ,pulling off one wire wont show anything , you need to pull both wires of the cyl.

When you pull the plug wires off are you hearing the wire arching ? If not than you have a bad cool pack

I love cool packs...haha. But, I think I have a weak coil pack. I need to do the multimeter test. Does any one know what my resistance is suppose to be.

I have arc,but when I unplug it from the coil pack one of them was not "arcing out" of the ports of the coil pack.

I bet that one that is not arcing is what's causing your rough idle

7-10 thousand, I think my plugs are good. I haven't pulled those yet to check. But this rough idle has been around even when I did change them. It's just poking at me until I find it.

I would say it's your coil packs than with my fords that had coil packs I would have a rough idle until I changed the coil packs than it went away
