spark plug help
Hi,
I ended up using Autolite XP Iridium in mine after trying a set of Bosch, and the XPs have been good to me...
The orginal Motorcraft were not available, the right and left banks have different part numbers on the 3.0 FFV V6, so I went with the fine wire XPs.
There has been some posts on theRangerStation forms by Bob Ayers about trying to find the OEM plugs, and he like to stick with stock.
Can't find that post or link right now, but will check later....
When changing plugs I found that there are very few threads to hold plug into head, so you have to be careful not to jam or cross. I also ended up replaced plug wires as two of mine OEMs broke off at the plug when removing.
Good Luck !!

I used the platinum plugs walmart has. They seem to work fine. At 67,000 miles I noticed a difference by changing the plugs. The old plugs were way over gaped from being so used, but were in otherwise good condition.
Go ahead and pick up a sparkplug wire kit for like $40 at NAPA because the OEM wires can be a ***** to get off. When I changed mine I damaged one and broke one entirely and had to borrow the Scion from my mom to go get new ones.

This is what is in the manual:
3.0 V6: AWSF-32PP ***
3.0 V6 FFV: AGSF-22PP ***
*** Cylinders No. 1, 2, and 3 have a "PG" suffix. Cylinders No. 4, 5, and 6 have a "P" suffix. If any spark plug needs to be replaced, use only spark plugs with the service part number suffix letters "PP" as shown on the engine decal.
