Spectra Premium Radiators
Spectra Premium Radiators
I wanted to share my experience with the Spectra Premium Radiator. When I needed to replace my original radiator at about 260K miles on my 2003 3.0 Automatic, I selected the Spectra Premium made in Canada.
I noticed that I am starting to see signs of leakage from the top left near the cap and lower right near the drain, both areas are where the tanks are crimped to the radiator. I checked and found that the radiator has a 2 year warranty and it has been 2 years and 3 month since the install. I tried to get a replacement under warranty but was denied from the vendor Rock-Auto thinking that it's still close enough to the 2 years. Additionally, I noticed that Rock-Auto no longer carries the brands, (maybe this is a clue). I also reached out to the manufacturer and I was denied as well.
I am not sure if anyone else has had issues with the same product as I was expecting a lot more than 2 years and 3 months. I welcome any other experiences with the same product and I hope someone else can benefit from my own experience. Thanks!

Thanks for the info and heads up. It is really too bad that customer service has gone out the window. If they had worked with you on the replacement your experience and info would be completely positive and probably push others here to purchase from them. Now I for one will not go there if (when) I need a radiator so they just potentially lost a sale. It seems most companies do not look long term.
