Squeekin noise

Ok every once n awhile when i turn on my truck theres this squeeking noise. WEll when i press on the gas it squeeks even faster then it dissappears. But when i come back down to idle speed it starts to squeek again till i speed up. Now i think it might be a worn bearing on my pulley systems bc when u press on the gas the pulley's spin faster which causes the squeekin noise to go faster. but i cant be for sure.... does anyone else think its maybe a worn bearing on my pulley system?

Could be any of your pullys more than likly your ALT pully or your AC pully...your belts probably just need changed...take the belt off and spin your ALT pully...

When it does it see if your battery meter goes down...If it is your alt belt and it snaps, your done for......unless you got an optima...

belt dressing isnt good to use on dirt.....

It just makes things worse....

If its not the belt one of your pullys are freezing up, did it spin freely when you had the belt off?

hes joking. you know like blinker fluid or muffler bearings.

are any of you pulleys on the engine stiff or locked up?
brakes maybe. a sticky caliper?

yeah muffler bearings.. lol Could be any of your pullys if its not the belt itself.. tensioner, idler, alt.. etc. remove your belt and start to turn them pullys to find out

yea they spun freely... i mean i can go take off my belt again and see if they still spin freely, but its not the belt cause it did it with the old and and i put a new one and it still does the same thing. But it doesnt squeek all the time.. does it when its either really hot or really cold, can anyone explain that?

Does it do it alot after it rains or its damp?

Its prob one of your pulleys I forgot the name of it. I fixed my squeek that would happen after it would rain and such with a Goodyear Gatorback belt.

I dont know whats different about it but it get rid of the squeak in my truck after it rains or is damp it did the truck for sure. I mean Ill get it once in a while and it goes away after 5 mins, Not like it used to do it all the time for at least the whole day I drove my truck.

change the belt first i'd say cuz its cheap n easy to do it yourself. if it persists then its the pully. plus if you've never changed it you might as well

I have the same problem but it is only when the engine is warming up. I sparyed some silcon lub on my belt about 6 days ago and i haven't heard the squeek agian. When i used belt dressing it made my squeek worse. I have heard that one of your pullies could be loose so just make sure they are tighted up and i would spray a LITTLE silicon spray on the the belt.

I have the same problem, its my Idler pully, it squeeks like a b!tch! I'm taking it to Ford next week to get it replaced under warenty. In the mean time, I sprayed a little WD-40 on the bearing, seemed to help a bit...

look at the tensioner pulley. it will probably be out of alignment with the other pullies. this is a common on 3.0l

Had same prob, it was the tensioner. Highly possible that its the idler pulley. get a big screwdriver, or prybar and apply pressure on the back side of each pulley, and see if any of them make the squeek get louder or quieter

Ihad a sqeak for a long time, but it had nothing to do with my engine. I think it was in a wheel, or brake area on a rear tire. But yeah like you described at lower speeds it would squeak when taking off, and if i let off the gas it would stop, if i gave it gas it would sqeak harder. I think it was all the mud i had gone through.
