My 2002 Ford Ranger Edge 2 wheel drive automatic has blown 3.0 engine with U code , not a flex fuel engine. I have found a 2006 Ford Taurus 3.0 with the 8th vin number of U. My research says this is also a non flex fuel gasoline 3.0 engine. I am aware of all the swapping of harness accessories and so forth needed to be done to swap this engine into the ranger. However, I read of someone having a problem with that year engine and the flywheel holes being drilled slightly different and not lining up. Does anyone have experience with this late of a model from a Taurus and have you made a successful swap .
