is there powar difference between

what is the the powar difference between 3.0L and 4.0LV6.... BY HOW MUCH HORSEPOWAR ??

the ohv has 160hp,the sohc has 207 for the 4.0l, dont know hp for the 3.0l?

The 4.0 has a bit more tq as well that is what you will feel the most.


In all seriously though, try spell check man. It makes it hard to read your posts when every word is spelled wrong. I am not college professor myself but Jeez man lol.

1st off the 3.0 run for ever
3.0 at the crank is about 155hp
4.0 ohv again at the crank is about 160 hp
4.0 sohc at the crank is about 207hp
now the torque #s are much better much larger than th 3.0 at around 50 to 60 lbs from bothe the 4.0's

not sure about earlier but 1998-2002 3.0s have 148hp at the crank and 03+ have 154hp at the crank.


its really sad how much faster ther 4.0s are (having driven both)... =/

'98-03 3.0L's actually have 152ish hp/ 185lb-ft.. 04+ got the 148hp/ 180lb-ft ..
