Throttle Body Swap/Conversion
Throttle Body Swap/Conversion
I'm sorry if this has been covered again and again, but I have a 99 ranger xlt 3.0L so it has the aluminum intake manifold. I'd like to get it to flow a little better, just to make feel a little more lively.
What I'm trying to do is swap out the upper intake manifold (only if possible?) with the later version composite one so I can put the Escape/Tribute throttle body on it. What will need to be changed over the make the new throttle body and intake manifold work? it looked to me like the Tribute had a slightly different setup on, including throttle cable, or was it just me? what about any sensors, vacuum lines, etc. that need to be changed?
Thanks for any help. Obviously if there is a good thread already please let me know, I can't seem to find any.
