Ticking noise and low oil pressure

Hi just bought a 2000 3.0 that has valve ticking. I just did an oil pressure test and its at 30psi@2500rpm. Normal is 40 to 60. Fresh oil change with filter, Whats the next step to troubleshoot?.

124000k miles Bought truck for $500. I was hoping just a colapsed lifter. I do have a quart of risline in it. That woulldnt lower the oil pressure that much. Should I be looking for a new engine or trouble shoot this one some more?

Pull out the cam syncronizer and inspect the gear on it. If it is missing any teeth or they look very worn it may be skipping on the cam gear. The syncro drives the oil pump and are known to fail.
