Use of different year MAF

could I buy a plastic MAF and replace my metal MAF? I wanna do the MAF mod and the plastic one seems so much easier to do. I have a 2000 metal MAF and wanted to go to a 2001 plastic MAF.

Is there any reason I couldnt do this?

i doubt it would work but if you can find one in a junkyard for cheap its worth a try... personally i wouldn't hack up my MAF... do a search on the subject for more info

I don't believe it would work due to the change in calibration between the two. But I could be wrong.
