Vacuum line question-98 ranger

Ok gents, Im new to the wonderful world of Rangers, I usually work on jeeps, but couldnt pass up a 700$ deal when it came my way. My question is, there appears to be a grey vacuum line with a fitting on it just hanging on the passengers side of the truck, between what I think is the non-working cruise control, and AC lines. Ive looked all over the engine bay and cant find a single open vacuum connection to plug it into, and have no clue where it goes.

Post a picture of it the only ones I can think of off hand on the passenger side will be for the locking hubs (under the headlight assembly) then a line that goes to the rest of the intake manifold vacuum lines, then the line that goes to the heater blend door

You know what, it probably is for the blend door, that would explain why my heater only blows BLAZING HOT all the time, and the temp control doesnt do crud for it!

Yeah the only grey vac hose I can thank of plugs into the heater control valve. The valve is on the lines going to the heater core
