Good idea or will the stock manifolds do just as much as headers would?

^^^ agreed, plus Ive seen how much of a pita those things can be to install... the biggest gains with those are when you go boost or have gone extensively into the motor

Every little bit helps, It'll change the sound some more for the better. Combined with exhaust, intake, and better ignition wires you may get 10hp (total) more to the ground. lol
