dealers suck!!

Hello everyone, one of my 1st posts here. I dont say much here sorry for that I'm usually workin way too many hrs and too tired to every write, I mostly read all of the posts for new ideas asnd such. Anways on to why I;m writing today. Took my truck into the dealer on monday for an air bag intermed. flash, brake pedal creakin, and leak around the back glass seal. Truck only has 40K on it. dealer wanted 300$+ to fix the air bag and 300$+ to fix the master cylinder which was causing the brake pedal creak. I've only had the truck not even 2 months and already problems. I threatened my sales guy that he either fix the air bag at n/c or I'd contact lemon busters and have my attorney involved. After he told me he'd call me back on that, called back and the air bag is taking care of n/c glass seal taken care of and I'll take care of the master cylinder thats nothin, I can live with spending 60$ at a parts store and do it myself. they were taking about over 300$ to replace the master cylinder. brand new at the parts store is @60$ and only takes about 45 min totall take out prime new one and put back in. talk about inflation and price gouging. well that my story. just cant beleive these dealers now a days.....

Usually most dealerships rely on profits from the service department to support the whole dealerships operating costs. That pretty much explains the high costs.I am at dealerships all day long for work and I am amazed at how high some of the estimates are on certain jobs.Even more amazed at how many people approve the work.I am so glad I do most of my own work.

If the Ford dealer originally tried to charge you anything for airbag repairs, they are guilty of either incompetence or fraud. Your truck has a 5yr/50,000mi warranty from Ford Motor Company on the restraint system. It includes the airbags, seatbelts, seatbelt pretensioners and all related parts. This warranty is completely independent of the regular 3/36 bumper-to-bumper coverage. Check the warranty manual that came in your owners manual packet.

Thats wondefull info. I knew that there was another type of warranty that was separate but didnt know where to look, and what the problem was was the seat belt pretensioner. In reference to the back glass, the leak was coming from the passenger side upper right hand corner, leaked everytime i washed it. Story gets better, got my truck back today, dad went to pick up cause i was at work. When I got back gave me "a key" to the truck. Asked him where my key fob was he said he had no idea, thats what they gave him. Talk about being beyond frustrated and highly pissed . So tomorrow I'm giving these lovely people a call. They had no reason to take it off the key ring!! I know all dealership arent like this but its dealers like this who set everything off.
Ok I feel better now
