Wet seat belts in the rain?

Hey guys. I just got a 2003 ranger club cab 3.0/auto with 60k, and when it rains the seat belt on the passenger side gets wet. It seems that as you pull it out further, it is more wet near the end. The carpet is not wet. When it is wet, it will not recoil. Any ideas on what could be causing this to get wet? Thanks in advance!

Water shouldn't be getting into the pillar like that. The fact that the carpet isn't wet is really strange too. Seems the water is getting in there somehow but no coming out. Weird.

sounds like a bad seal between the passenger door and the rear door, or where the two meet they are not sealing against one another...

I’m reading this thread from 2008, and I am having the exact same issue on the driver side of my 2008 ranger.I have chased down the issue to the seal on the window in the rear door. I will update once I find a replacement seal and repair.
