what is it really?
OK, I hva ean 02 ranger edge short wheelbase 4x2 regular cab with a 3.0L and a 5 speed auto. I appear to have a factory external trans cooler and I have a class three receiver hitch installed. I basically just want to know how much I can tow. I have heard many things about this, but dont know whats true. My owners manual says I can pull a loaded trailer with up to 4000 LBS with the 4.10 gear which I have. Is this correct? I have been pulling a 13ft steel trailer that weighs 1300LBS loaded with 3 quads and 2 dirt bikes, which is approximately 2100 lbs total. It pulls it great in OD and only needs OD on steeper grades on the interstate. Is this hurting the truck? or is this ok?
My 09 2wd 2.3 had 4.10s. what your pulling sounds fine if your weight estimates are correct 3 quads and two dirt bikes weighs more than 800lbs i would think or are you saying trailer empty is 1300 plus 2100 for the quads/bikes= 3400? which still would be fine.
Wow you really did that daniel? Cool
