I was looking for vacuum leaks and found this between the spare tire and the rear end. Looks like a little motor. It plugs into a can. Well it was disconnected, I plugged it back in. I have a couple of questions.

1. What is it, and what does it do?

2. Does it being disconnected constitute, a vacuum leak?

 

Looks like part of your evap system. Yes, that could throw a code for a large evap leak, but vacuum not sure...
