Camshaft position sensor?

ok,I was driving down the road and my truck died,finally started back up after about 10 minutes of trying,went to autozone and scaned my truck because it threw a code,said it was the CPS,i replaced it,and now about a week later it started doin the same thing along with cylinder 6 misfire.any help appreciated?

Did you also replace the gear driven Synchronizer assembly or just the small CMP sensor on top? Do you know the actual trouble code number?

it sounds like he only replaced the sensor and not the whole assembly, try that dude!

i just replaced that thing on top,but thanks for the advice,i gotter fixed today,i had a vaccum leak and for some reason it was still throwing the code of the sensor,and fixed the misfire also,it was a bad spark plug wire,im using the wire off my taco lol
