1st time truck buyer - please help!
Hi everyone,
I'm buying my first truck and will be using for combo of daily driving and (hopefully) mild/moderate off roading for camping trips etc. Still looking at Ranger vs Colorado vs Tacoma. Leaning towards Ranger at the moment. Anybody have any experience with the new ranger? pros/cons after owning for a bit? Any thoughts are highly appreciated.
So far, I'm weighing a 2020 supercab long bed with FX4, tow package, and 360 for $31k...is that a fair price?
Many thanks!

I have a 2019 supercab with 6' bed (that was the only longer bed in 2019).
I like it.
I drove the Colorado and hated it. My wife hated it also. We had had an S10 for a long time, and I figured we'd like the Colorado. Also drove the similar Nissan truck, and did not like it much either, although it was better than the Colorado.
In my view, for the lower end trucks, the Ranger is better than the other offerings. The Tacoma was the next level up in cost, and I did not even drive it.
Price? We paid about 23k with zero interest financing for a base 2019 supercab XLT, with tinted windows and locking differential as the only option adders. It was what they had, and we needed to replace the S10 immediately, as it had 207500 on it and stuff was crapping out. I'd have paid them with a check, but the zero interest made that unnecessary. they were hungry.
I do not know what the version you mention "should" cost, but these days, with the shutdown, the dealers are hurting, and you ought to be able to get a really smokin deal on nearly anything they have. The 31k seems high.
