I bought my 2022 Ranger new and every spring when I use my ac for the first time of the year, it hasn’t worked. It was under warranty and I brought it in to Sound Ford in Renton, Washington and they said the refrigerant has all leaked out. They said it is a very slow leak. Each year they replace some valve or hose. Now for the 4th time in 3.5 years, they say it’s the evaporator core, but it’s not under warranty and they say there’s no history of a leak there. So now it’s not under warranty and they want to charge me probably over 4K to fix this. I have told them that it’s been a constant leak that hasn’t gotten fixed the previous 3 times I took it in while under warranty. It seems obvious to me this was the issue to begin with, yet the dealership didn’t want to fix it, but wait till I have told pay for it. Thoughts? What should I do? Should I elevate this to Ford corporate?
