I want to put Ford OEM 20" rims on my 2021 Ranger 4x4 XLT. The fronts bolt up just fine and with the 275/55R20s they dont rub at all. But the rear is another story. The hub alignment hole on the stock 18" rims on the Ranger is 3.5" diameter, which aligns with the alignment tabs on the end of the rear axle. The hole on the Ford 20 inch rims is only 3.25. Result being that the rims will not contact the rotor. A half inch spacer would solve the problem but I cant find 1/2 longer extended wheel studs anywhere. ARP was my hope but they do not carry. I have looked all over the internet with no luck. All the original specs have to be maintained but just half inch longer. Does anyone have a supplier? I do not want to use the spacers that have the studs built in unless they are highly recommended and less than 1inch. I have not found any such spacer.
Alternatively, could I grind a 1/8 inch off of either the inside of the rim or the outside of the alignment tabs on the axle to allow proper fit? All suggestions welcome!
Thank you Ranger rear axle wheel alignment 3.5 in dia. F150 20" rim alignment hole 3.25 in dia.
