New engine

Does anyone know if a Viper 8.4 V10 will fit in my 2003 ford ranger 4x4 and if so what will it take to make it work and not turn my truck into a pretzel? Thanks

Welcome to the forum

No, not without a major redesign of engine bay, length and width
And yes you would need to strengthen frame in the rear and swap the rear axle

The 5.0l(302) V8 barely fits and its 19" wide, and 27" long

Look here: https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikiped..._Viper_V10.JPG

Looks to be a bit longer than 27", lol, and quite a bit wider than 19"

You CAN do anything, but will it fit in a stock Ranger engine bay, No, wouldn't even fit in the larger 2019/20 Ranger engine bay

Height is not an issue in most cases since you can do a body lift as needed on most vehicles
