Snow tires

So I love my 2021 ranger, but it's pretty bad in the winter in western,ny. I slide all over the place even with 300 lbs in the back and with new tires that I bought shortly after buying the truck. Those are Sumitomo Encounter AT 255 65/17. That didn't help much. I settled on those because the blizzak and other highly rated tires for ice weren't available in my size. I increased it to 420 this year, but I'm not super hopeful the situation will get much better and I now have 15 mile expressway ride to work.
My question is are there better tires out there in my size? I noticed the highly rated ones have straight channels for snow and slush to go through. My tires look more like traditional A/T which I think was my mistake. If there aren't awesome tires available in my size, can I use the 245 70 17 blizzaks or whatever else you think is good? Not sure which sizes I can use on what I believe is a 7.5 inch rim
thanks in advance,
Chad

solved after like 30 hours of research

Crisis averted. A different version of Blizzak was available in 255 70/17 which i assume moving from 65 to 70 is no big deal. Sorry if i wasted people's time lookin stuff up
