The 2020 Ranger is new to me. Everything seems fine except the Sync 3 has yet to display Waze. I prefer to use Waze and from what I’ve seen, Waze is compatible with Sync 3.
The first thing I did was reset the administrator and delete any phones listed by the previous owner. I connected my phone and Bluetooth works fine. Then I enabled the Sync 3 to locate apps. I only plug my iPhone 11 (version 16.6.1) into the usb, as I always have Waze running on my phone while driving… hoping it will eventually pick it up on the Sync display screen. I’ve unplugged and replugged in the cord from and into the phone while running several times. I’ve closed and reopened the app several times. It’s been 3 days and several attempts and nothing ever comes up.
Could it be that I’m a new user and need to do additional steps? I have the original Ford Owners manuals and Sync 3 guide that I’ve read and followed. Read troubleshooting guides and watched YouTube videos and still feel like I might be missing something. Any Ideas? Ford Pass app works great for me. I got that going.
