02 sensor help

My truck throws code 141, bank 1 sensor 2. Upon seeing this handy ranger forum here, I had come to the conclusion that b1s2 is the farthest sensor from the engine on the passenger side, that being the one in the CAT on the passenger side. I replaced the sensor and am still getting code 141 some 5+ starts later.

The part I bought did infact say b1s2 on it. Does any one have any advice? Have I simply just changed the wrong sensor?

It's a 2010, 4.0L 2x4 standard. Forgot to add.

5+ Starts or 5+ times driven it long enough to get the engine up to operating temperature ?

No not the wrong sensor
P0141 02 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction (Bank 1 Sensor 2)

Its the HEATER wires that are the issue, which could have been in the "sensor" part but if you change the sensor and get the same code then its not in the sensor part, it in the trucks wiring part

O2s have 4 wires
2 sensor wires
2 Heater wires

All the O2s share one 12volt heater wire
Then each O2 has one Ground wire that runs back to the computer
With key on the Computer should see the 12volts passing thru each heater and then ground that wire to heat up the O2
O2s need to be heated above 600degF to work

If the 12volt heater wire was the issue then you would have three O2 heater codes, and you don't
But it could just be the 12v wire AT the O2 connector
Or the Ground wire
Unplug that O2s 4 wire connector
Have a look at the Truck Side wires in the connector

There should be a Grey wire, that's the 12volt wire, key on
Then a White/orange wire, that's the ground from computer

Just FYI, all the O2 sensors on our Smaller Rangers are the same, narrow band, only the attached wiring harness length is different
So B1S1, B2S1, B1S2 and B2S2 are all the exact same O2, and can be swapped around, if wires are long enough

The 2019 and up Rangers use wide band O2s

Also you should look up codes in the future on a full code list
These are O2 sensor codes, for the sensor part
P0136 02 Sensor Circuit Malfunction (Bank I Sensor 2)
P0137 02 Sensor Circuit Low Voltage (Bank I Sensor 2)
P0138 02 Sensor Circuit High Voltage (Bank I Sensor 2)
P0139 02 Sensor Circuit Slow Response (Bank 1 Sensor 2)
P0140 02 Sensor Circuit No Activity Detected (Bank 1 Sensor 2)

There is just the one code for the heater part: P0141 02 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction (Bank 1 Sensor 2)

This its most of the "P" codes but not all: https://www.therangerstation.com/tec...trouble_codes/

Yes it ran 5+ times. Thank you very much guys, I'll have time tomorrow to fiddle around with it and see what's going on.
