1993 ranger 4.0l

How can I get more power out of my ranger 4.0L v6? Its a 1993 I already have plans for a cold air intake, even though they arent made for my year theres a guy whos gonna show me how to run it. Other then that and exhuast Im at a loss on what I can do to make more power

95 2wd getting over 18mpg with headers, exhaust, and custom intake...Only reason I know I get over 18mpg is because when my gas gage went out, I did my fuel mileage by 18mpg and when we dropped the tank it should have been almost empty from how I did the math...I had more than a quarter tank. Thats mostly highway miles too...only about 2-4miles a day off highway.

Im surprised no one has said to tune it...I dont have a tune, but Ive seen a few people around here that have them and say its help MPGs and power...I dont know if they had the OHV or the SOHC though...
