Hello everyone. I am new to the forums. I have a 1996 Ranger Splash 2wd Supercab with short bed. I have a stock 4.0L engine and was wondering what mods you all would suggest to get some more power out of the engine. I am used to building modular motors and have no idea what would be good or could be used for this 1996 OHV 4.0. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I have a cold air kit on the way and run synthetic oil. The tranny is a 5-speed with 3:73 rearend gears.

An older member was running an underdeive crank pulley, screamin demon coil pack, and a cat-back exhaust. You can also get a set if JBA headers.
