2001 4.0 OHC 4X4 Vacuum Help PLEASE
All,
I have been up and down the internet on forums, aftermarket websites, OEM sites - you name it. I even enlisted a local Ford dealership with a very helpful Parts guy to help me. I have come up EMPTY. My hope is that one of you reading this has a 2001 4.0 4X4 that is willing to help.
The engine (and transfer case & Transmission) were taken out for rebuilding. Now that everything is back on place, I can't figure out the vacuum lines. HELP!
PLEASE take a look at the vacuum lines at the rear of the driver-side of the intake manifold. There is a red Y thatsplits the line off to go to the left fender well and another leg that goes, ultimately to the EGR valve. That same RED line has yet another Y, but Icannot figure out where either leg goes. There is a picture of the“short” leg – that has a very sharp-angled tip andthe longer leg is in my hand. That longer leg iscertainly long enough to reach most of the engine compartment..
there is a vacuum reservoir on the right side fender wellunder the air cleaner that has two ports on it. One port has a checkvalve built-in, the other does not. Also on the right side of the engineis the heater control valve (which is vacuum actuated). Finally, thereare two lines that come from the firewall – one is gray, the other isback. They are for the heater controls. Neither the gray nor blacklines are a vacuum source. How do they correctly connect?
Can SOMEONE help me, PLEASE?
