2006 Engine Tick

My 2006 4.0 has almost 80,000 miles but ive noticed this whole year it seems as if the motor has the tick to it. I know alot of the older ones have had problems with this but it was supposed to be fixed in 04's and up. At first I just thought maybe it was a pulley because its more of a high pitched chirping/tick but I noticed today its actually coming from the motor. Truck runs fine and only does it at idle, when im driving it never does it, when im just slowing down or anything it doesn't do it, specifically only does it when I stop n sit still n the motor drops down to idle, if I just rev the motor up it goes away, only when it comes all the way down n back to idle. Any info? Thanks

Video up, I finally got a video camera that would catch the sound. Its actually alittle more higher pitched than this but it gives you an idea.

lifters?(Oil change) loose pulley or nut/belt? Take the plastic 4.0 SOHC cover off and check the TB or if the sound gets louder with it off. Narrow things down.

I would just drive by a local garage in your area and just ask a tech that isn't busy and get his two cents on what it might be. Preferably someone you know.

Yeah I think it might be alittle of both things. All my tools are at the new farm and I wont be down there until friday so im going to take the belt off and run it for a minute to see what that changes, but I think its a combo of one of the pulleys and there is def ticking coming from under the cover area but idk what would cause that and if its bad or normal.

Sounds like fuel injector(s) as best as I can figure, based on that video and the last 1/4 of it. It's really hard to pinpoint a location/source from that video, but maybe, and carefully, use a very long screwdriver as a stethoscope and see if you can locate the noise source.

I know this sounds dumb but how would I go about doing that?
