299 HP - What Can I do Next?
#27
I was in the hospital you guys... Anyway, it was stock at 218 HP.
Upgrades that made it to 299HP
Intake (K&N 57i Series FIPK Intake)
JBA Ceramic Coated Titanium Headers
Magnaflow High Flow Cats
Electronic Actuator Dump Valve (exhaust dump, hehe)
750cc Bosch Fuel Injectors
MSD 6AL Ignition Controller
MSD Coil Wires (8.5mm)
NGK Platinum Plugs
Diablosport Custom Tuner/Programmer
I run 93 Octane and fuel octane booster in every fill up
I run full synthetic oil
299HP is actually kind of low...

And yes 207 is stock HP at the crank. Get a dyno sheet or i call BS, i have half that and would be lucky to see 245HP from my 4.0 SOHC.

This is all with forced induction....not glorified bolt on’s like the majority of people have (including me).
Clearly - the dyno you used is so far out of whack it's not even funny.

MIGHT being the key word...and that's assuming we are talking flywheel horsepower and not how a dyno usually states things - as wheel horsepower.
So at the wheels, again assuming a 20-percent drivetrain loss you are saying he would be 'lucky' to get about 200hp...and I even question that a little...probably more like in the 185-190hp range @ the wheels - tops.
Either way...still miles from what he states.
When in stock form it would be more like 140-150ish to the wheels..which matches up with the proof given here by '04RangerDave' of having a decent list of bolt-on parts and only hitting 175hp @ the wheels.
Nice one!

Okay - Update
Used a trailer dyno, and the guy that let me try my truck out on it told me he fabricated the test results, so yea I probably am pushing around 230 max, and okay guys, maybe I don't have some of those modifications, want to know the real truth.
I have owned 11 vehicles in my life, and I am only 21 - I have had such bad luck with breakdowns and broken parts, now I have a Ranger which stays strong (considering it is built Ford tough) and has lasted me longer than all my other vehicles have.
The real deal, thought it would be cool, but I can barely keep up with my auto payments on my truck as it is:
Mods: (if you can call them mods)
K&N Drop-In Lay-Flat High-Flow Air Filter (never have to replace it, just oil it)
Air Box Mod (removed silencer, and cut entire bottom of the box off for ram air (not cold air))
Flowmaster 50 Series muffler (for sound, not for performance, 50 series is three chambered, nice aggressive sound, pulled a noob move and sawzalled slices in it for a better V8 sound (sounds more like a ******* civic)
And next week I am installing one of those LED brake light thingies that goes under the tailgate...
Happy all? -
And to all, I am talking engine HP not wheel, it comes stock 207hp, 228 or whatever TQ

EDIT: I see where you told us all that you lied haha you honestly would have gotten more respect from people if you said that you're broke and have a fairly stock truck. None of us started out with modded vehicles anyway. Nor are any of us rich and rolling around in mods.

And the reason people are nice is because they understand, oh yea and by the way, I have Autism, so that makes it a little different too.
