you would need to get the PC cable, about $50, and then download the software.

You go to SCT's web site and download it.

It depends on the software on the xcal. If it is the latest software, when you go to load the custom tune to your truck, it will ask you about "Enter Opt Param". If you click yes, you can adjust various things (Just scroll up or down to view what you can change). Then hit save and it will load the tune with your changes.

BTW...You can only load files that your dealer sends you.

If you don't mind me asking, who was your dealer?

you wont need a special cable for the Xcal 2, you can use a standard USB cable. unless the tuner has been sitting on their shelf for a while, it should come wtih a USB cable and a CD wtih the software you will need.

You can use most of the USB cables that late model USB printers use.

Again, depending on the software on the xcal, you could either adjust them on the device itself as you go to upload the tune (it will ask you to "enter optional parameter yes or no") to your vehicle OR you will have to get your dealer to send you your tune files in XTR format and use extreme tune to make changes to them then upload them to the xcal and program your truck.

for what you paid for that tuner, the dealer who sold it to you should be giving you the support and helping you use the device. We always have great support for our customers who buy tuners.
