We have to replace the cylinder heads on my son's 1997 Ford Ranger, 4.0 OHV. One head (Ford) was cracked. The other head (Mahle) was not cracked, but is rough. My questions:
Isn't the casting supposed to be 98TM for this year and motor? The ripout heads are 95TM.
What heads work well to replace these and where do you recommend purchasing them?

The 98TM heads were put on 98-00 4.0s... 95TM was the earlier revision and should be correct for 95-97.
