Where is this coolant leak coming from?

I have a large coolant leak from the rear freeze plug on the block. I removed the trans and freeze plug, but then i saw that some coolant was also leaking from higher up. heres a rough picture of what i am talking about.

Intake or head gasket possibly. Looks like a head gasket.

Intake gaskets are leaking. Buy them from the dealership and install them TO THE "T" as the workshop manual states. the cork ones crack and leak in the corners

i was looking at some info on loose intake bolts for early 90's 4.0L and i was wondering if anyone has seen many leaks from either the coolant temp sensor or water temp sender?

Are Fel-pro gaskets ok to use or only go with OEM?

Im not sure what the fel pro ones look like, i suppose they would be fine. Any time i have done pushrod 4.0's i always use the OEM intake and valve cover gaskets

I know the Fel-Pro valve cover gaskets for the 2.9 are EXCELLENT! I went through several other brands and they always developed a leak. Not one single leak ever since using the Fel-Pro's.

I checked again this morning, and i found the coolant is coming from the back corner of the lower intake gasket. But i think while im replacing all those gaskets, i might just put new head gaskets on it. One thing i searched for but didnt seem to find a definitive answer, the head bolts are TTY bolts, correct?

Yes, the head bolts on the 4.0 are TTY. So be sure to get new head bolts DO NOT reuse the head bolts.
