4.0L Engine Swap questions
Hello everyone,
I have a 1999 Mazda B4000 4.0L 4x4 with the v6 OHV engine, and I found a 1998 Ford Ranger 4.0L v6 4wd with a v6 EFI with 31k on it. Are those two engines the same thing? Would I be able to put that Ranger engine into my Mazda? Visually, they look the same, the only difference is that the Ranger doesn't have the AC Compressor, but I could just take that from my old engine, right?
I'm not sure what rules there are in engine swapping, any and all input is appreciated. Thanks!
