4.0L Engine Swap questions

Hello everyone,
I have a 1999 Mazda B4000 4.0L 4x4 with the v6 OHV engine, and I found a 1998 Ford Ranger 4.0L v6 4wd with a v6 EFI with 31k on it. Are those two engines the same thing? Would I be able to put that Ranger engine into my Mazda? Visually, they look the same, the only difference is that the Ranger doesn't have the AC Compressor, but I could just take that from my old engine, right?

I'm not sure what rules there are in engine swapping, any and all input is appreciated. Thanks!

to my understanding the b series and ranger are identical so I believe you could literally swap the engine without much difficulty at all idk about the ac but I’m sure if it’s on one you could put it on the other with the correct brackets
