Ok so I did a little research and turns out it pretty much the same thing as the screamin demon

http://www.stuffforyourranger.com/st...screamin+demon

except they were $250 + and why would you pay more than double for the same thing???

I can't find one that fits the 4.0 or the 3.0 ranger engines anywhere.

found 2 recently..just bought one off ebay... have some info on f150online.com but just skipping seems to be a more common mod on the larger trucks

a coil is a coil and they are lazy.. they will only put out the minimal spark they need.. basically they are like people. if they can do a job half assed and get the same result and still get paid well they are going to do it half assed

thats weird before i bought my ranger dealer was telling me rangers get about the same mileage as the f-150s due to the gearing ford uses in them so surprised that it is more common upgrade on the f-150 than the ranger ...i guess i get to post in the mod no one else has thread once i get this installed lol

starting the install tomorrow...most difficult part of it is where to put the ignition box...don't want to put it in the engine compartment..only space thats available is the radiator support so mounting it in the interior...wiring is pretty long that comes with it ( better protected in the interior always) and SHOULD be cooler there as well ( don't to deal with heat from the engine)...mileage is probably the BIGGEST reason i am trying this this ranger is by far the worst vechicle i have ever owned on gas
