Not sure about SLP but some people run the Bassani side exit exhaust.

Search youtube for 4.0 mustang or 05+ v6 mustangs, you`ll get more results. At least you`ll get some ideas of what it "might" sound like on the 4.0.

ok, I didnt think of the mustangs

the only reason I thought of buying a slp muffler is because my friend has them on his 5.0 and it sounds bad-***... now granted I know its not gonna sound the same at all but it should sound pretty good

they will both sound good, but the SLP will def be louder. I switched from flowmaster to slp lm2 when i had my 98 cobra and omg it sound 10x better.

I have a Bassani on my truck, it's quite loud inside the cab at highway speeds. I'm not a large fan of it. Heres some idleing sounds.

Does he have LM1s or LM2s? There is a big difference. At 70 I have no drone really, 75 I have a tiny bit...but I also have a stripped out trunk and rear seat delete.

One is a straight threw and other is a chambered design. IMO LM1's are the worst sounding mufflers ever, if you can even classify it as a muffler. If thats what your after just get a dynomax race bullet, same thing excpet not stainless. Bassani will be on the quiet side if you keep stock cats. just depends on what sound your wanting to go with. Why are you changing out the magnaflow?

LM1s aren't mufflers, they are resonators. Sound ok with stock midpipe, but LM2s are the best.

I had a Bassani exhaust for a while until Massachusetts changed the laws on exhaust. Now I just have the exhaust tip attached to a walker quiet flow muffler. I liked it when it was loud but now with the new muffler it sounds like the engine is blowing through a straw. I really really like the Bassani Race exhaust on the mustangs, I think it only sounds good on a V8 though.
