WOW! $450 for cat back duals

I called my local shop that does al ot of custom exhaust and they quoted me $450 for cat back dual exhaust with a flowmaster and stainless tips!
Does this sound right? Is there any diy bolt on applications out there that I can get this type of system from and do it myself. Gibson only offers single for my truck.

Well depending on the tips (diameter and length) they can be 50-60 bucks each or more. That seems a little high IMO but not outrageous. I would tell them 400 otd personally...

i paid like 125 per cat..got 2 of em

and 140 for my muffler so thats what..

390

im redoing it all..

headers
cats
muffler
tips
all stainless pipe

and my total so far is like 960 and thats not installed ill do it myself so installed would be like 300 or so if i took it somewhere so total headers to the back is like 1300 give and take some..

it pays to play..

so thats pretty good IMO

probably werent quoted on stainless pipe nor the same muffler

but that does sound iight for the price

I think that sounds pretty high. you can buy the most expensive all stainless setup from magnaflow for $450. So if you aren't getting all stainless piping then they should come down on price

This is just a single muffler with dual outlets exitting the same place as stock with stainless types. I thiught the price was way to high. Is there a do it yourself version out therelike this?

long story short, my dad is a fire chief and has been friends with our muffler (and fullerton fire's muffler) guy for years, like 25+ years. he gives us outrageous deals on stuff. i got my friend custom welded chrome exhaust for his subaru wrx sti for $135 and my dad got stainless steel catback and tip with custom welded tubing (wasnt stainless steel) for $150. so if anyone in so cal needs exhaust, let me know

Sounds high to me for a non-SS setup. I just installed a full SS magnaflow dual outlet setup on mine. (splits within the muffler) Was $489 through Jusnes modified

That's the same setup i already said Jusnes has for 450 and another member a few peeps above you confirmed that he actually purchased it and it came out to 489.

So this just goes to show that a full stainless set-up from the cat backs with the more expensive Magna Flow muffler is cheaper and you could do it yourself.
