CEL after Sea Foam

Ok Guys, I need to go get the code read yet, now my question is I sea fomed the truck on monday, and ran it about 5 miles afterwords and about 15 mins idle after the 10 min wait. now today as the wife took the truck to work the CEL came on, any one have any guesses if it could have been the sea foam?

Dave

The same thing happened to me today my CEL came on after I sea foamed yesterday, I got the code and it has something to do with my emission control something. I am not sure what it is but I dont want to pay a dealer to fix it. Any ideas?

First guess would be a fouled plug (missfire). Second would be an O2 sensor reading out of perimeter caused by using the sea foam

3rd that. Definitely get the codes read, but I would change the spark plugs and the oil and filter, in any case.

If it was a fouled plug it would be missing pretty bad.

Is it missing any?

I agree with the O2 sensors. With the Seafoam, you send alot of gunk through the exhaust and it can coat up the sensors. You may be able to get away with just getting them out and cleaning them really well although I don't know what to use.

you know what I am not sure, I have not had a chance to drive it, according to the wife she said its seems like it was running fine. I was going to get the code checked today and drive it, but when I got home from work it started to pour outside so i didnt go yet. I will get to it this weekend, and let you guys know what i find.
