Wireless Backup Camera

Hello,
Has anyone bought/installed a wireless backup camera on their vehicle? I'm thinking of doing one. My bed-topper kinda hinders my view and I think maybe a camera/monitor might help?
thanks

I want to say Korey89 did one. You can do a search by his user name and find a post about it. My DVD player has the ability to have a back-up camera, but I haven't invested in it yet, but it's fairly simple. Just tap into a wire for reverse and you're good to go.

IMO, wireless ones are junk. Just get an aftermarket head unit with back up camera input. Its only a few wires to run and much more dependable. I've had mine hooked up the same way for years with my current camera and I've never had a problem. My two previous cameras were junk. Avoid the plastic license plate mount ones. They get condensation in the lens by day 3

Thanks for the heads up. Would you be willing to tell me what brand of units you have? Where you got them? I've seen 'unknown' brands on Ebay but not sure about that? What about a wired one from Amazon? Look forward to your response/input.

thanks

I have a pioneer double din with a DVD player and navigation. It had a rear camera input that it switched on in reverse. The camera I got was a no name metal cased one off of amazon. I think it was like $16 3 years ago. I would suggest one that doesn't have the distance lines that are automatically on it. They're annoying and not very accurate. Just search for a waterproof metal cased back up camera
