Hey.

Redoing the exhaust.....getting antsy and gotta order the muff. Exhaust shop said they can handle the differnet sized holes for the in/out of the muff vs. the piping i want to run.

I know we're supposed to run a offset in/center out muff....but do we have the room for a center in muff? Anyone run a center in muff?

I've searched through 6 pages of exhaust pics/threads.

i am running dual in center out. i have ran center in dual out before too.

I'm not sure about the center muff, never seen anyone run one. But does the muff come in a "box"?

 

The Bassani exhaust is center in center out, but the muffler lays flat instead of verticle.

 

I've seen a sideways one.......asian.

wait are you just swaping in the muffler? you will need to redo the tail pipe section

 

lol....uh.....i'm not dumb....lol......everythings gonna be new from the cat back....eventual rear cat delete pipe as well. 2" tailpipes dumped before the hitch/bumper alot like EvanII and Andy's.

 

lol ok, well if your replacing all that the options are endless.

btw you know you want to do a header back setup

What type of muffler are you going to run and what kind of sound are you expecting.

 

why would a center-in or an offset-in really make that much of a difference where someone said you couldn't run a center-in?

 

do a center in and dual out its what i have and its the best duals look so good on a truck but only if there spread out like mine i dont like those ones where they come out so close together

 

I agree center in dual out, but like "mine" the lightning style look and sound better IMO..

 

 

a dual out muffler will have alot of resonance over a single out muffler. if you dont want resonance, run a single out muffler with a y-pipe after for your dual tailpipes. if you run a canter inlet, you may want to mount it vertically to keep it out of the way of the driveshaft aswell

yea i got a center in muffler. Im actuly redoing my exhaust here in the next few weeks. i wasent happy when i seen the dude that did my exhaust cut off the flex pipe. Whats this rear cat delete? is this possible? and is this safe?

 

I beleive that's what I am running. I know it's SI/DO, but can't remember 100% for sure if it's center.

 

im running a center in, offset out.

it works.

 

already got my muff.....3" side/dual 2.5" out...... will run short 12" pipes exiting and they'll be dumped for the time being.

I'm headed over to my buddy's uncles exhaust shop.....see what he'll do for me. rear cat delete pipe, muff and new pipes installed, dumped before the hitch...unseen from the outside. Will be doing 2.5" pipe in/2" dual pipe out.

is the rear cat delete pipe safe? why wouldn't it be? if i throw a code for the oxygen sensor, oh well. I'll have my rogue or bama tune delete that, i know bamachips deletes that o2 sensor.

 

i think out the back looks the best next to the tow hitch

won't work for me. shackles and a bodylift...plus i hate straight out the back on a lifted ride.
