It depends what you want it to sound like. I put a Cherrybomb on my 4.0 and it doesn't sound much different than the stock one. You'd have to take the catalytic converter out to make it a big difference.
I'd rather spend a few extra bucks and get a flowmaster put on there

yeah cherry bombs sound horrible. i tried one on my 3.0. just leace ur cat on and get a 40 series flow. whack off the pipes and put the flow where your muffler was. sounds good and is fairly loud

I kinda wonder why you would only want to replace your cat with a cherry bomb and not your factory muffler..?? That kinda baffles me..???

It would probably make it alot louder, but it wouldn't be a good type of loud

i would NEVER take your cats off. whats the point? nowadays they are already high flow, why do you think you have so many of them?? not to mention its illegal. people that remove catalytic converters on new vehicles baffle me, its not a performance upgrade anymore....

I can't really follow your sentences without punctuation but here is my thought on what I got out of it.

For all that is right in this world don't get a cherry bomb.

If you want louder get a borla/flowmaster muffler and just replace the stock. I'm sure if you looked around you could find a 40 series flowmaster that you could put on and just dump for pretty cheap.

Don't touch the cats. You'll just end up screwing a lot of things up.

dyno sheets soundperformance.. give me time to post them, or i'll PM them to ya.

209HP 217 Torque average with cats

210HP 238torque average without cats

they don't make off-road pipes for no reason... Not much of a HP difference but I'm enjoying my extra 21 ft lbs of torque!

It's not as much of a difference as it was back in the day. Considering the fines you can receive for removing or tampering with catalytic converters, it's not worth 1 hp and 11 lb-ft. Plus the number of O2 sensors you'll send haywire just wouldn't be worth it.

If you want something with better sound, get a Borla Pro XS muffler. Several people asked if my truck was an 8 cylinder... it sounds great! You can get a Borla on eBay for like 65 bucks too. Definitely worth it!

21 not 11

I have an aftermarket cat on the truck now just haven't updated the sig...., though the dyno was done when I didn't have it. Nor did the guy above ask, or check my homepage.

EDIT: I'll fix the sig now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think you should put a real cherry bomb in your tailpipe
